Biddy pots was created with the intention of bringing moments of joy to the daily hustle. Each piece is wheel thrown with careful consideration to feel and function, bringing a subtle but familiar warmth to the hand. The collection plays with natural, earthy tones and textures.

about the maker

I’m Brighid, the creator and maker behind ‘biddy pots’, based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. I started working with clay in 2017 while living in London UK and was quickly captivated by the wheel and began apprenticing for Giulietta Hextall at Crown Works Pottery. After moving to Sydney i then undertook an apprenticeship with Steve Sheridan at Wentworth Falls Pottery, Blue Mountains NSW. I work predominantly with stoneware and like to use natural tones and textures, which is reflected in the subdued, earthy colour palette and soft curves of my pieces.
