5 week intermediate throwing class

Week one: increasing in size – working with increasing weights of clay, trying to gain height with each additional piece.

Week two: narrow forms – how to collar in and create narrow forms (e.g. vases, bottles, moon jars etc).

Week three: throwing off the hump – an introduction to a technique used to make numerous pieces from one large piece of clay, reducing time and effort in production.

Week four: trimming and pulling handles.

Week five: decoration using glaze and/or underglaze.

 

By booking a class or workshop with Biddy Pots, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Pottery Pieces

• Each student can keep up to the maximum number of pieces specified in class description.
• If you wish to keep additional pieces, a charge of $15 per extra pot will apply.
• Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 2 to 6 weeks after the final session, depending on the firing schedule.
• You will receive an email notification once your pieces are ready. Please collect them within 3 months of receiving the notification. Uncollected pots will be disposed of after this period due to limited storage space.

2. Booking and Attendance

• Before booking, please ensure you can attend all scheduled sessions, as missed sessions cannot be made up.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

• More than 7 days prior to the class block start date: A full refund is available.
• Within 7 days of the class block start date: A 50% refund is available, or you may transfer your spot to a friend or family member.
• After the workshop has commenced: No refunds are available for cancellations or missed sessions.

4. Health and Safety

• All participants must follow safety guidelines provided during the workshop.
• Biddy Pots is not responsible for any injuries sustained during the workshop due to failure to follow instructions or safety protocols.
